The Police Department got the City Commission's approval at its Dec. 4 meeting to purchase some new, flashy equipment. The department is planning on spending up to $18,500 on a mobility vehicle, ballistic shields and emergency response systems. It was raining three's at Tarpon Springs High School as the Spongers hosted Class 5A, District 9 frontrunners Pinellas Park for a Friday evening match up.
