A reception at The Wildlife Gallery raised about $600 on Oct. 6 for a local team of eight women participating in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day walk, a 60-mile walk from Friday to Sunday in the Tampa Bay area. Karla Solomon, captain of the team, has set a $4,500 fundraising goal, and each team member has to raise $2,200. The gallery's exhibit, 'Through My Eyes,' runs through October and features 125 photographs of East African wildlife. ...more
