October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and pink ribbon products that support the fight against breast cancer are popping up everywhere — even in the grocery store. Lean Cuisine's line of specially marked frozen entrees and designer lunch bags is expected to generate the company's minimum guaranteed total $200,000 donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure this year. At Kroger stores, Campbell is selling nearly 7 million "limited edition" pink and white cans of its most popular tomato and chicken noodle soups. With the help of Campbell and other vendor partners, Kroger has committed to raising $3 million to support breast cancer awareness and research this year. Thursday Music Showcase To See Pink For Benefit This month, Music Showcase at 402 Oakfield Drive, Brandon, will get in the fundraising spirit for breast cancer research. The center will hold a fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, accepting donations and selling pink ribbons, colorful ribbon cards, pink cupcakes, pink lemonade smoothies and pink M&M cookies.
