Pinellas Park police have arrested a man after a shooting that left another man severely wounded. The shooting happened at about 1 a.m. today at 7321 Cedar Court N. Officers arrived and found 21-year-old Jose Luiz Hernandez-Monsqueda of Pinellas Park in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Bayfront Medical Center with what paramedics said was a life-threatening injury. ...more

Dallas Dwayne Carter, 44, had both hips replaced and was on disability, and whenever he tried to work, the pain just got worse. He had two sons he had to take care of, and he had $6,000 in unpaid bills. So Carter says in a suicide note he wrote before he fired 30 shots at Pinellas Park police Saturday night.
