I had a chuckle at the blog quoted in the Sunday article in the Highlands Today. I will tell "Abrand" that he should say "good riddance" to expensive Auto Owners as I did last year. The governor forwarded my letter to the Public Service Commission and I received a letter from them outlining the reasons why the increase to Progress Energy was awarded. They tell me that one of their reasons was the increase in the cost of fuel and another was the building of a nuclear power plant. ...more

I am replying to Mr. Diotte's letter published in the Highlands Today. Mr. Diotte opines over "what was done wrong, what candidates would do to correct incumbents' errors and all kinds of promises of good things to come." I agree with Dick, that's what we should be doing. ...more

Debra Saunders had an opinion in Highlands Today on Jan. 30, about the use of medical marijuana, but took it to a higher level. I have in my opinion not seen an article worthy of print from Saunders to date! She did, however, get one comment right, (some doctors) give "THC" properties. ...more
