The Placid Utility Water System has issued a boil water notice for customers in the Tomoka Heights subdivision on Bentwood Drive North from the intersection to Tomoka Boulevard North, to the intersection of Rosewood Drive North after water was shut down Tuesday to repair a water line break. The boil water notice will remain in effect for two days until bacteriological samples show the water is safe to drink. Those affected should bring to a rolling boil for a minute all water used for drinking, cooking or brushing teeth. This includes ice machines, soda fountains and drinking water fountains.
