PALM HARBOR - Everyone knows downtown Palm Harbor is historical, but some believe it can also be enchanted.

Next Saturday evening, just before sunset, two spiritualists will take participants on an Enchanted Walkabout tour through downtown Palm Harbor in search of nature's hidden kingdoms, said Lesley Klein, owner of Oak Trail Books and the Witches Brew.

Landscape architect John Springer and wife Patricia, who live in the Orlando area, are experts at seeking spirits in nature, Klein said. An Enchanted Walkabout is an opportunity to see the spirits of nature in a new way, feel their energy and not take them for granted, she said.

During Walkabouts people can encounter fairy thrones, strange face shapes in the trees, mystical creatures and tree gnomes, she said.

The Springers will give people a very different glimpse and appreciation of the nature around us on their tour that winds through the historic downtown to H.S. "Pop" Stansell Park and along the Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail, Klein said.

The tour will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at Oak Trail Books 1219 Florida Ave. The cost is $20 for one adult and $35 for a couple, which can be any two friends, $5 for children 5 to 15, and $10 for seniors 70 and older.

Participants should bring cameras because some of the spiritual images can only be identified when light is captured in a photograph or on video, Klein recommends.
