Safety Harbor man charged with sexually abusing 2 girls

SAFETY HARBOR - A Safety Harbor man has been charged with sexually abusing two children, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
Jerome Spencer was arrested on three counts of lewd and lascivious molestation on a child under 12, false imprisonment of a child under 13 and sexual performance by a minor, the police report said.
The victims are a 7-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl, police said. The crimes occurred at a private residence in north Pinellas County.
Spencer, who is a maintenance worker for a condo association, inappropriately touched the 7-year-old recently while the child's mom was out of the house, police said. Investigators say he molested the 15-year-old girl on various occasions between 2001 and 2006.
