Congratulations to Tarpon Springs City Manager Mark LeCouris and the City Commission on their decision to reduce the fiscal 2009 city budget "by $1 million, effectively giving back funds borrowed from city reserves," as a news item in your Feb. 21 North Pinellas edition reported.
This demonstration of leadership augurs well for the future of Tarpon Springs. We will recover from these difficult times and emerge stronger as a result of this kind of fiscal discipline.
