PALM HARBOR - The Palm Harbor Lady Hurricanes ran their overall record to 6-1 Tuesday night by overmatching Boca Ciega in straight games.
PHU's strong service game and strength at the net were too much for the visiting Pirates, as Bogie was outscored 25-12 and 25-5 in the match's first two games.
Outside hitters Cassie Roy and Chelsea King led the Hurricanes attack and senior Morgan Kosterlitz was commanding up front on defense by stuffing multiple Bogie kill attempts.
With some non-starters getting court time in the third game, PHU fell behind early 1-7. They responded with a 10-1 run and ended the match by winning 25-14.
The Hurricanes take the court tonight at Pinellas Park at 6:30, and then again on Thursday to battle with Class 5A, District 9 rival Clearwater.
