EAST LAKE - Countryside High closed out its unbeaten season on East Lake's court Tuesday night, improving to 23-0.
The Cougars jumped out to a 2-0 lead while putting away the team they opened the year with in early September.
When East Lake won the third game 25-21, it was only the second game Countryside has dropped this season. The other was during a 3-1 over Jensen Beach on Oct. 6.
Countryside moves on to play for the PCAC Championship Friday night at Lakewood. Their Class 6A, District 7 tournament starts Oct. 28 at Gaither High.
East Lake's District 5A-9 tournament begins Oct. 29 at Palm Harbor University.
