A man who came to music late in life now can't get enough of it.
Carson Hall is a regular at Eddie's in Dunedin and often plays in other Pinellas venues, including 13 and Red Fish, Blue Fish.
Hall, a West Pasco man, plays acoustic guitar and sings. His musical menu includes reggae, rock, beach music and a little folk.
Hall didn't take up the guitar until he was 19. "I never thought I could play," he recalled.
He taught himself how to play and still plays by ear.
Three years, ago he went professional.
Why the wait? "I wanted to make sure I was decent enough to be in front of people," he recalled.
He remembered his debut at the now defunct Palm Harbor Ale House. "I was terrified."
The terror has morphed into relaxed interactions with his audience. "People get the sense I can be in their living room," he explained.
