PALM HARBOR - Seasonal art shows return to the downtown historic district later this month.
Old Palm Harbor Main Street reached an agreement with TNT Events to produce the historic district's first art show on Florida Avenue in several months, said Terri Rudzitis, a TNT spokeswoman.
The street exhibition is planned the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, May 17 and 18.
The show will run from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday. If this show is as successful as organizers expect, a spring exhibit will be planned for March, she said.
Her organization also produces many art shows around the region, including a popular art show at the Sponge Docks, in Tarpon Springs, Rudzitis said.
For this show about 50 arts and crafts vendors will be spread out along Florida Avenue, she said. There will be a big variety of works to explore from woodworking to leather crafters, creators of dog clothing to painters, fine jewelry makers and many other artists, she said.
Food vendors will sell traditional town fair treats. Area restaurants will provide their own brand of entertainment and libations.
