DUNEDIN -- A robber who roughed up a store clerk at a video store is being sought by Pinellas County sheriff's detectives.
According to a Sheriff's Office spokesman, detectives are investigating a robbery that took place at Hollywood Video, 1477 Main St., Dunedin. The robbery occurred just before 9 a.m. on Monday, June 23.
According to detectives, the store had not yet opened when the suspect convinced an employee in the store alone to open the front door.
Detectives say the suspect then forced his way into the business and used physical force to subdue the female employee. The suspect demanded cash before locking the clerk in a bathroom.
The suspect is described as a black male between 23 and 25 years old, from 5 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing between 170 and 190 pounds.
The suspect had short curly hair and was last seen wearing a black button-down shirt, grey slacks and a silver rectagular shaped belt buckle.
