CLEARWATER, Fla. - CLEARWATER, Fla. - Early voting for the Jan. 29 presidential preference primary begins at 8 a.m. this Monday, Jan. 14, Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections Deborah Clark said.
"Early voting and voting by mail make casting a ballot more convenient for voters," said Clark. "It is difficult for some voters to get to the polls on election day."
The early voting period will run from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday Through Saturday, Jan. 14 through 26.
Early voting is available at all Supervisor of Elections offices:
• Pinellas County Courthouse, 315 Court St., Clearwater, Room 117.
• Election Service Center, Starkey Lakes Corporate Center
13001 Starkey Road, Largo.
• County Building, 501 First Ave. N., St. Petersburg.
All registered voters are eligible to vote by mail. To request a ballot by phone, call 727 464-6788. The deadline to request a ballot by mail is 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23.
Voters may pick up ballots through Election Day. Ballots must be returned to any Supervisor of Elections Office by 7 p.m. on Election Day and cannot be accepted at polling places.
To avoid delays and extra paperwork, voters should bring picture and signature identification to the polls. Anyone without valid ID can cast a provisional ballot. A canvassing board will later determine the validity of any provisional ballots.
For detailed early voting or mail ballot information, or to view a sample ballot visit the Supervisor of Elections Office href=http://www.votepinellas.com> Web site or call 727-464-6108.
