PINELLAS PARK - Police are looking for a man who they say targets CVS pharmacies and robs the stores of prescription drugs.
The man walked into the CVS pharmacy at 7101 Park Blvd. about 4 p.m. Sunday and demanded specific narcotics, Pinellas Park police said. He implied he had a gun, and there was a bulge in his shirt shaped like a firearm, police said.
As the pharmacist was getting the drugs, the man suddenly fled from the store. A canine unit could not track the man down, police said.
Detectives said they believe the same man robbed a CVS at 7400 49th St. N. on July 23. During that incident, the man displayed a silver handgun and was wearing a latex glove on his right hand.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a medium build. He has short, light-colored hair.
He was last seen wearing a white baseball cap with a New York Yankees emblem, a gray T-shirt over a white T-shirt, dark jeans and black boots. He was also wearing a yellow bracelet on his right wrist that resembles the Lance Armstrong "Live Strong" bracelets.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Pinellas Park Police Department at (727) 541-0758.
