TRINITY - The Trinity Village Shopping Center will be abuzz with live music, art galleries, ice sculpting and more this evening as the plaza rolls out the first installment of its new, six-week entertainment series.
The free, family friendly events are being billed as new entertainment and leisure options on Saturday nights that are also local, said Dan Harri, the director of business development for Suojanen Enterprises, a plumbing company based in Odessa. Harri is organizer of the entertainment series.
Tents and displays will be set up between Cabio and The Grill Store at the mixed-use commerce center S.R. 54 and Duck Slough Boulevard.
Festivities are scheduled to run 6 - 9 p.m.
Jimmy Rodgers, a professional voice coach with the Tampa Guitar School, will be the featured entertainment.
Along with Rodgers' music, Harri said there will be ice carving demonstrations, art displays, clowns and comedians, along with special offers from participating shops. Harri will personally handle the chainsaw ice sculpting.
Delite Entertainment Co. is overseeing the entertainment promotions.
Harri said he is reaching out to attract more local artists who are looking for a platform to display their creations.
Some of the promotional offers from local stores are: Wine sampling by Cork and Olive; smoothie sampling by Planet Smoothie; food samples from Bonefish Grill; and product demos by Tan Spas Express.
For more information on the entertainment series or to inquire about performing or contributing works of art, contact Dan Harri by e-mail.
