The man walked into the Circle K at 3470 E. Lake Road in Oldsmar about 1:45 a.m., sheriff's officials said. He brandished a knife and demanded money, and a clerk gave him some, they said. Then he ran fled.
He is described as white, in his late teens or early 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and of medium build. He has dark collar-length hair.
He was wearing a blue ball cap, gray T-shirt, khaki shorts and white athletics shoes. Surveillance photographs show a tattoo on the inside of his left forearm.
