SAFETY HARBOR, Fla. - SAFETY HARBOR, Fla. - Holidays in the Harbor will offer a seasonal, old-fashioned downtown street party to ease the burden on shoppers given to procrastination.
This month's 3rd Friday Music Series, Friday, Dec. 21, 6 - 10 p.m., was designed to conjure up holiday spirit on Main Street between Sixth Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard.
This event is produced by the city and Safety Harbor Downtown Business Council.
"This is a great chance to shop for those last minute holiday gifts, enjoy festive holiday music and show all of the out-of-town guests how we celebrate the holidays here in Florida," said Joe Cooper, city special events coordinator.
The event will feature musical entertainment, food and craft vendors, and shopping bargains along Main Street.
The Bayside Holiday Jazz Band and Deuce Ambiance will perform on the main stage, at the gazebo in John Wilson Park. Live music will also be available at the Harbor Pointe Building and at the courtyard of the 500 Building.
Proceeds from this event will help benefit Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida.
The event, part of the Budweiser True Music Concert Series, is sponsored each month by the city, The Suncoast News, Downtown Business Council, Budweiser, Ed's Fine Wines and Countryside Liquors.
